  • Climate Con II

    May 22, 2008 2:21 PM

    The US Senate Energy Committee sends me a regular email. It's being dominated by Democrats who cant't stop seeing green when they look at oil company profits. But they do get "severe memory lapse syndrome" when you see oil does a hell of a lot of work and only gets $1bn in subsidies and Ethanol does a whole lot of nothing for $8bn in subsidies. Here's some "info" from the Senate;

"The building sector is responsible for 48 percent of all heat-trapping emissions, and it is estimated that 76 percent of all electricity generated by U.S. power plants goes to operate buildings. As energy prices rise -- increasing the costs of cooling, heating and construction -- green building has become a popular mantra for homeowners, corporations and environmentalists alike. The report shows how one company, ExxonMobil—the largest of the major oil companies—has utilized its $40 billion profit from 2007...:Yet invested only $10 million in renewable energy alternatives."

Investing so little in new energy (ie. dead ducks) just demonstrates how sensible Exxon is and how lame the Democrates are when it comes to good investment and not trashing your money by throwing it into a black (green) hole.

Perhaps you should communicate with the Senate then because this thread was banned.

    Rehash, repeat and ignore.

Sorry to keep doing this but enough is enough I think.

In this world gone mad, we won't spank the monkey, the monkey will spank us!

Another persona JJ? You have 4 over at the site you put the link up for with a total of 31 posts saying nothing. Like Autocar gives a hoot - there's no such thing as bad publicity.

Someone in charge - just block the IP address PLEASE.

In case anyone was wondering - 'Nigel Evans' is another JJ persona because Nigel Evans also just happens to be the name of a Conservative MP who - according to his Wikipedia entry - expressed his belief in the solar variation theory and the causes of warming on the earth and on other planets being sunspots,[1] and praised the TV documentary The Great Global Warming Swindle as "one of the best and most controversial programmes I've ever seen on television, particularly for those who don't like being spoonfed by Al Gore".

Errr - what's the title of this thread? Funny that.

    Another party political.........

That is certainly no coincidence I think.

And if you click the 'The Great Global Warming Swindle' link on my previous post you will see where much of JJ's opinion on this debate comes from - it also links him to yet another post under another name.

But given we've already done that and it's been locked - there really is no need to do it again?

We've been lied to and mislead again. How very sad.

Spot on Spec - but perhaps those were FACTS?

And if they ban him then they should ban me as well - that's only fair.

Another pointless 9 posts off topic.. well done!

If you've got a big fat zero to add to a topic LEAVE.

Haven't you zeros got a website to debate your personality issues on? Do you need 2 websites??
