The IS-F is the first sports Lexus model to make production. It was the idea of two Lexus engineers, Yaguchi-san and Sakamoto-san, but it is not the first IS model to undergo a little light fettling. In 2003 the same engineers experimented with the previous-generation IS300 — normally fitted with a 3.0-litre straight six — to create the IS430 project car, with a 340bhp V8, adjustable dampers and a six-speed manual transmission.

But from here on you must forget what you know about trad...Read the full article

Those exhausts...coming to a clapped-out Corsa on your local council estate any day soon. They'll probably look better there...

Shame about the colour too - I've seen photos elsewhere that make the car look far less Grandad-spec. Either way, it doesn't sound like Merc and BMW have too much to worry about for now.

I saw the car at Geneva and it was one of the most dissapointing things there. The car is really only for a very niche market in the UK as Lexus do not have a customer base that will get excited about that kind of thing and it does not look good eneugh to entice those of us that still like a good old fashioned M3 or C class AMG.

This car is completely pointless. Lexus offers us the weedy, gutless IS250 at one end of the range, and a snarling V8-powered M3 wannabe at the other, with absolutely nothing inbetween, unless you count a Toyota diesel engine (which I don't...)

Why on earth Lexus refuse to bring over the powerful and relatively affordable IS350 is beyond me. The IS is a nice car, but there's absolutely nothing in the UK range to tempt away 330 buyers.

Lexus is doing a great job with the ISF... just remember were lexus started of the LS400 toyota fuked the germans and evan now i rekon they will do it again and again . how rare is a BMW M3... not very it dont feel special its as common as *** like a Ford or a Vauxhall the wow factor of a M3 has gone great car though as i owned 1 but now i own 2 lexus's an IS200 n a GS300 n they put a smile on my face every day and im only 26 work that one out ? Dont get me wrong im a big fan of BMW, AUDI and Mercedes but Lexus is in a legue of its own. BMW has some what lost its styling touch just look at the bullshit 1 series...to expensive and looks pants so does the 3 series salloon and the 7 series and also the new X6 what the *** is it ? The engines are great but the exoticness of a BMW has gone ! The ISF has a cool image it looks fresh n butch . Lexus is so under rated as so was the Toyota Supra which is such a great car (my next venture) . IF the ISF had a BMW M3 badge on it it would sell more and there wouldnt be any bad word said about it.....The Japanese have made a statement with the ISF fair play to them .

You're a drug dealer, lexus residuals are really poor, you're a city whizz-kid? Which one is it?

Going by your spelling, punctuation and grammar, I doubt it's the last one...

Clearly, you couldn't have had written communication with city whizz kids, then. :)

Potter to be seen down your local Kwik Fit in a Corsa sporting those ISF exhaust very soon.  :-)

That Lexus are reportedly only bringing in 450 to the UK might be enough.
