  • Spied: BMW X3

    Aug 28, 2008 5:54 PM

Our spies have caught some great shots of the new BMW X3 in near-production form.
The prototype shows how the X3 will take much of its styling from the new BMW X5. Both the window line and the treatment of front and rear lights are very derivative of the X5, as are the high boot line and bonnet rakes leading back from the radiator grille.
The pictures also makes clear that the X3 has grown significantly in length compared to the current car.

Obvious that the "camouflage" was necessary otherwise the "spy" photographers would have missed that it was different from the existing moodel. Quite clear that this decorating business has become a part of the manufacturers' marketing process - are there degree courses in "car camouflage" at art schools?

Here's a novel idea that may just catch on in the next century......

How about making a more off road focused off roader?

I do hope this has helped the lost soles at BMW and the rest. Make cheques payable to Mr. J. A. Hardcastle.

Caeser ruled with an iron hand, then with a wooden foot and finally with a piece of string.

oh dear, it's much too big. it's bigger than a q5. seems like bmw becomes more and more conventional and doesn't understand the sign of the times.
